I believe in a patient-centered approach to neurological care. I do not assume and am here to take time and listen to the patient without any rush. The patient and their story allow me to understand their condition and with the patient and their family members, we can address our next steps forward together.
I offer a wide range of neurological services in the acute hospital setting including diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as strokes, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy which includes advanced imaging and testing services to aid in diagnosis.
I come from a family in medicine, with my father having been a longtime internist. I was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Las Vegas, NV. My interest in neurology sparked as early as college in Loyola University Chicago as my psychology major had overlap in neuroscience courses. I completed medical school at the University of Nevada Reno, ultimately solidifying my decision. I completed residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, with the training dedicated to excellence, collegiality, and innovation, allowing my love for the field and meticulous patient care to grow more. I met my husband through a friend in training, who serves as a urologist, leading us to make the DFW area our home. I work with Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders as one of their dedicated neurohospitalists. While coming to the hospital for emergent neurological conditions is daunting and challenging, I am dedicated to getting patients and families through these challenging experiences with compassion and a detailed sense of understanding. On my free time, I enjoy spending any bit with my husband, cooking nice meals and trying new recipes, trying my hand at any creative hobby from music, painting, to as of now crochet. We both love traveling and spending time with our families as much as possible, building happy memories together.
